Every year The Burton & Craig Shields Foundation partners with other local foundations to lend support to the community.

Since 2024, the Burton & Craig Shields Foundation has proudly partnered with Bridging The Gap’s annual 1000 Turkey Giveaway initiative. Bridging The Gap is a powerful coalition of motorcycle enthusiasts representing more than 50 motorcycle clubs across the DMV region. Together, men and women from diverse backgrounds unite around one shared mission: to give back to the communities where they live, work, and serve every day.

Since 2023, the Burton & Craig Shields Foundation has proudly partnered with DMV Mothers Like Me for the Annual #WearOrange Gun Violence Awareness Bridge Walk, standing in solidarity to raise awareness and advocate for safer communities.

POE’s
Bits of Joy
& Toys

Since 2022, the Burton & Craig Shields Foundation has partnered with Poet’s annual Poe’s Bits of Joy & Toys, a Washington, D.C. holiday toy drive hosted by Poet in partnership with WPGC 95.5. Held at Martha’s Table, the event brings holiday joy and gifts to children and families across the DMV each year.
